Strasbourg
Home to the European Parliament, this historic city offers visits to its Gothic cathedral, medieval old town, the Council of Europe, and the European Court of Human Rights.

Steinwasen Park
High in the Black Forest, this park attracts both nature-lovers and thrill seekers. Highlights include a chairlift, an 800-metre toboggan run, and the Spacerunner ride.

Europa-Park Theme Park
Located in the town of Rust, Germany’s largest theme park offers many attractions and shows.

Dorotheen Hutte Glass Factory
This factory still uses traditional glass-blowing techniques and older children are given the chance to have a go themselves.

Freiburg
Visit the cathedral with its famous spire. A pleasurable and impressive way to spend free time is to see the panoramic views of Freiburg and the Rhine Valley from the top of the 1284 metre high Schauinsland Cable Car.

Titisee
The highlight of this town is definitely the setting of Lake Titisee, whose crystal-clear waters attracts thousands of swimmers.

Colmar
The town has many architectural treasures such as monuments, churches, museums and alleys full of imposing buildings.

Itinerary Example
DAY 1: Travel from school to channel coast for crossing to Calais or Dunkirk. Arrive at your accommodation in time for evening meal.
DAY 2: Full day excursion with a wide choice of visits. Possible visits to Freiburg and the Schauinsland Cable Car.
DAY 3: Full day excursion with a wide choice of visits. Possible visits to historic Strasbourg or Colmar.
DAY 4: Another full day of visits that could include Germany’s largest theme park, Europa-Park (admissions not included).
DAY 5: Depart accommodation after breakfast for return journey to Calais or Dunkirk, arriving back at school mid to late evening.
