MEET OUR DRIVERS
Our drivers are the heart of every Galloway school trip. Fully trained, DBS-checked, and experienced with passengers of all ages, they make every journey safe, smooth, and stress-free.

What makes us different?
We’re the only provider with our own dedicated team of drivers. No contractors, no unfamiliar faces - just friendly, reliable professionals who know your organisation and your passengers.

Our drivers also have excellent knowledge of every destination, from the best drop-off points to the quickest routes and useful stops.

Arron
Meet Arron

Arron has been driving with Galloway for 11 years and began his career through the company’s driver training programme - a decision he’s never looked back on. A people-person who loves being on the road, Arron enjoys combining driving with customer interaction, making every journey relaxed and enjoyable for his passengers.
He particularly enjoys school battlefield tours, including World War I trips to France and Belgium and World War II tours to Normandy. Arron takes pride in helping students engage with history in a meaningful way, often supporting visits to cemeteries where pupils can connect personally with the past — moments he finds especially rewarding.
Arron drives a wide range of journeys, from school runs and day trips to theatre visits, theme parks, and adult day trips into London. Known for his friendly, upbeat approach, he believes first impressions matter — from a clean, well-presented coach to a smile and a bit of humour to put passengers at ease.
Whether handling busy city traffic or unexpected delays, Arron focuses on keeping things calm, positive, and enjoyable. He’s proud to be part of a team known for its welcoming drivers and high standards — and for making journeys memorable for all the right reasons.
Meet Richard

Richard has been driving with Galloway since 2013 and brings a wealth of experience to every journey. After spending 40 years in the military, he developed a strong enjoyment for driving — a passion he carried with him into his role as a professional coach driver.
Richard particularly enjoys leading battlefield tours, which have become both a personal interest and a passion for him. He spends time researching historic sites, especially First World War battlefields, where both of his grandfathers served, making these journeys especially meaningful.
He mainly drives school trips, day tours, and educational visits, and is always happy to support wherever needed. Known for his professional and reassuring manner, Richard makes sure passengers feel comfortable, informed, and safe from the moment they step on board. When travelling into cities like London, he enjoys pointing out landmarks along the way — especially for students visiting for the first time.
Careful preparation is central to Richard’s routine, from vehicle checks to detailed route planning and alternatives, ensuring every trip runs smoothly and on time.

David
Meet David

David has been driving with Galloway for an impressive 36 years, bringing experience, professionalism, and a genuine love of the job to every journey. He enjoys the variety of his role, from school trips and day tours to his favourite journeys — battlefield visits, particularly to Normandy.
Inspired from a young age by a passion for buses and coaches, David still loves being behind the wheel. He takes pride in making passengers feel safe and well looked after, carrying out thorough safety checks and ensuring everyone has what they need before setting off.
Being personally requested by schools is the feedback David values most, as it reflects the trust he builds with passengers. One of his most memorable trips was a fundraising visit to Holland with disabled children, where seeing the joy it brought made the journey truly special.
Professional, friendly, and always well presented, David believes these qualities are what set Galloway drivers apart and help make every trip a positive experience.
Meet Wes

Wes has been driving with Galloway for two and a half years and quickly developed a particular passion for battlefield tours. While he regularly drives a range of journeys, including day trips and educational visits, the trips to the battlefields of France and Belgium are his favourite.
Before every journey, Wes takes the time to carefully plan and research the destination so everything runs smoothly for passengers. He believes that preparation, clear communication, and calm reassurance are key to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on board. Passengers often comment on his friendly approach and professionalism, with one memorable piece of feedback describing him as “the best driver we’ve ever had from Galloway.”
Wes particularly enjoys helping groups have a stress-free and enjoyable day, and it’s always rewarding to hear that he has played a part in making their trip memorable.
His favourite routes include the Ypres battlefield tours and journeys through France, where the history and landscapes make every trip special.
Before any journey, Wes has one simple piece of advice for passengers: “Put your seatbelt on, and apologies in advance for the potholes!”
