Bruges Christmas Market Day Trip

Journey to Bruges

Depart pick up onboard our executive coach and arrivein Folkstone around 08:00 for 08:50 crossing board LeShuttle for the quick Channel crossing to Calais. Continue through northern France and Belgium before arriving in the heart of Bruges.

On arrival around Midday, enjoy a full day at leisure to discover the city's enchanting Christmas atmosphere.

· Wander through the traditional Christmas Market in the Markt (Market Square), filled with festive wooden chalets selling gifts, decorations and seasonal food.

· Explore the artisan Christmas Market at Simon Stevinplein, featuring locally made crafts, handmade gifts and regional delicacies.

· Admire the spectacular Christmas tree and festive decorations throughout the historic centre.

· Follow the magical Winter Glow light installations that illuminate the city's medieval streets during the festive season.

· Visit the famous Belfry of Bruges for panoramic views across the city (optional admission).

· Browse the many independent chocolate shops and sample authentic Belgian chocolates.

· Enjoy traditional Belgian waffles, frites, mulled wine, hot chocolate or local Belgian beers in one of the many cafés and restaurants.

· Take a relaxing stroll along Bruges' beautiful canals or enjoy an optional canal boat cruise (weather permitting).

· Visit Burg Square to admire the historic Town Hall and Basilica of the Holy Blood.

Around 18:30 rejoin your coach for the return journey to Calais and board LeShuttle back to Folkestone arriving back in Folkstone around 21:00
